WinBook XP5 brings a Pentium processor to the XP while continuing to offer options beyond the speed of the processor, amount of RAM and size of the hard disk. You can pick from three pointing devices and two CD-ROM drives. The standard WinBook XP5 ships with a 75MHz processor, 16MB of RAM, an 810MB hard disk, 10.4-inch active-matrix color screen, internal 14.4Kbps fax modem and lithium ion batteries that provide 40 watts of power per hour.
You can choose between a standard Lexmark pointing stick, a Logitech 19mm trackball ($29.95 extra) or an Alps touchpad ($79.99). You can also add a quad-speed CD-ROM docking station ($399) or dual-speed CD-ROM with SCSI adapter ($199).

The Compaq LTE 5000 family of notebook computers offers versatility and options galore, allowing you to have a reliable machine that suits your specific needs.
The core of the LTE 5000 is its 64-bit Pentium architecture with PCI local-bus graphics, 256KB of level 2 cache, an IrDA (infrared) port, and the option of either a 90MHz or a 75MHz Pentium chip. You can choose an 11.3- or 10.4-inch STN, or a 10.4-inch TFT color display. The LTE 5000 ships with Windows 95 installed. The Multibay makes it easy to customize the system. A push of a button lets you add a removable CD-ROM drive, a 3.5-inch floppy disk drive and your choice of a hard disk (510MB, 810MB and 1.35GB disks are available). With the Multibay, the LTE can handle two batteries--either lithium ion or nickel metal hydride--for up to eight hours of power. The Multibay Expansion base extends the LTE's functionality.

Chem USA is making its presence felt in the notebook market with two additions to its multimedia Pentium line.
The ChemBook Model 5550 is available with processor speeds of up to 133MHz, up to 32MB of RAM and hard disks from 340MB to 1GB. This model also offers an 11.3-inch dual-scan or 10.3-inch TFT active-matrix screen and a removable dual-speed CD-ROM drive; quad-speed is optional. The CD-ROM drive or removable 1.44MB floppy drive can accommodate an extra battery. The 5550 includes a Trackpoint cursor control and weighs 6.7 pounds.
The ChemBook Model 5400 offers the same speed, memory and display choices as the 5550, but its CD-ROM drive is built in.

The AMS PowerCD is a powerful multimedia road machine that comes with a 75MHz, 90MHz or 100MHz Pentium CPU. It weighs 7.1 pounds, has an infrared interface, a Type III PCMCIA slot and an internal CD-ROM drive that you can easily upgrade to a triple- or quad-speed drive.
The notebook comes standard with 8MB of RAM, upgradable to 40MB. Hard disk sizes range from 340MB to 1GB. Other options include internal MPEG, a 14.4Kbps fax modem, a video capture module, portable speakers and docking station support.

OmniForm converts any existing paper form into a live electronic form and automatically creates a database for that form. OmniForm allows you to scan or fax forms into your computer or convert .PCX or .TIF image files into electronic forms.

The UMAX Mirage D-16L is a large-format (A3 size) flatbed scanner that is based on a dual lens design for graphics, prepress and publishing professionals.
